The service was very good, food (breakfast buffet) excellent and the location good
The property, very nice design, pool great
No information in advance that this is a muslim resort, no alcohol for sale, no bacon with your breakfast. Can bring your own drinks to restaurant, but a little inconvenient if you don't know in advance.
Good location, the food of the restaurant was nice
The room wasn´t clean, the slipers weren´t disposables and it were dirty, the smeel of the room, couch full of staines, the staff hardly speaks english, the restaurant didn't serve alcohol
Lovely hotel, very well designed - the poolside rooms were beautiful, the pool was beautiful, and the location at Railay is of course fantastic.
WiFi was very intermittent, and the apparent lack of senior managment at the hotel meant that it did not seem a high priority to ensure that it was working. However there are worse things in life than not having 24/7 internet connection at Railay!
The location was perfect. Beautiful scenery and access to many activities.
This wasn't a luxury resort, but it was very comfortable and clean... The beach was by no means private, but there was a much more private beach next door which was very accessible. The spa was good, not first class, but it offered great Thai massages. The food was good Thai food which was reasonably priced (again not great food, but very good). I wouldn't say that this would be a perfect romantic get away (if you want luxury), but it was perfect for a family trip.
The room design, beautiful and romantic atmosphere and the serenity of the place.
Just that there was no spa available during our visit. The restaurant is halal and does not serve liquor.
The location was fantastic and the pool was great. The rooms were fantastic.
There was no standard information sheet in the room with basic information about hotel services. Just sheets trying to sell additional services. Nowhere in the resource could we borrow and iron and ironing board with after travelling for a couple of weeks was needed. Not being able to get alcohol on the site.
Location and room design
Staff were surly and argumentative, room was not cleaned well and the bathroom was not clean when we first got to the room (at 6pm), hotel has not been maintained well
Railway Village Resort & Spa is very well located on the beautiful Railay beach. The gardens are beautiful and give a sense of tranquility and it is very quiet and private. The pool is beautiful and suitable for exercise as well as pleasure. The restaurant is well positioned with views over the water. Excellent value for money. The spa was very good and reasonable.
The air conditioner in our room was very noisy!
This was our second time back to Raikay Village Resort and we went back specifically for the resort as we loved so much the first time, rooms are clean and spacious, staff very friendly and it prime location for the beautiful beaches.
Tv could be newer and with better reception we had problems watching anything due to bad reception
First and foremost staff services were mediocre. Worst of all and something that I would never put up with is the hygiene of the room. Found a 8 cm millipede in the room. Toilet seat was almost wobbly and chilli stains on new bed sheets and stained chair. Room slippers that are disposable are clearly recycled. To top it off, of the 2 nights there there were at least 4 blackouts per night.
The room was very comfortable, location is good, restaurant had good food.
No Wi-Fi in room and not much the hotel employees were willing to do beside asking us to use it at the restaurant. They only said that they have 1 router for the whole hotel... I think they can afford the huge investment of $30 to buy another router so all the rooms will have the Wi-Fi. Hotel employees can try to be more helpful and friendly to guests and door locks can be improved as well as keys always stuck when trying to lock or open the door.
Lovely rooms - very spacious, tastefully furnished, quality fixtures, large bathroom, great view. Hotel pools, gardens and landscaping were lovely. Location was fantastic, right on Railay West Beach but with access from the rear to the East Beach. Good choice for breakfast overlooking the beach and Karsts of Railay West. We hired Booked.nets for an unforgettable trip around the peninsula.
The location is great. Loved the pool.
The food here is mediocre but there are plenty of good places next door to eat.
We liked everything about Railay Village. We were extremely happy with the friendly, organized, and helpful staff, our room, the pool, landscaping, food, price, and most of all, the perfectly lovely location, all nestled in amongst the karsts, with the beach and pretty water all right there for us to enjoy. The spa was especially nice. We each had two massages during our stay, and they were outstanding. We also loved being able to hire a longboat to take us to other nearby beaches and snorkeling areas. We also took a sightseeing/snorkeling boat trip, and this was very well organized and a good way to see other islands and beaches in the area. The location of this resort allowed us to choose from a variety of restaurants each evening, and a handy "walking street" had just enough shops to supply us with items we needed, as well as souvenirs. We truly were in a small beach town, with many activities nearby, yet the entire area felt cozy and intimate. Guests from our resort, as well as the other resorts, would gather on the beach to watch the sunset or play volleyball. We think that the only way to improve on the resort would be to offer live musical entertainment right on the beach. Romantic or rhythmic island music would add to the aura. We truly enjoyed a relaxing and idyllic vacation at this resort.
